Air Training Corps is always on the look out for adults to help with
the running of general activities. The following lists how parents can get
involved with 144 Squadron:

Adult
Non-Commissioned-Officer (NCO) Ranks
Adult
Sergeant

Appointment
to this rank is given after an interview with the appropriate Wing Staff, and
the successful completion of the Stage One Instructors Course. You must be at
least 18 years of age. Adult Sergeants are identified by a sergeant rank slide
with an ATC pin attached. They wear an RAF beret with the RAF cap badge
attached.
Adult
Flight Sergeant

Appointment
to this rank is given after 4 years service as an Adult Sergeant and completion
of an interview with the appropriate Wing Staff . Adult Flight Sergeants are
identified by a flight sergeant rank slide with an ATC pin attached.
Warrant
Officer (WO)

Appointment
to WO is made after 8 years service as an Adult NCO. The WO on a squadron is
usually responsible for drill, dress and discipline and has to attend a course
and interview.
